Can you elaborate on the INVESTMENT?
When hiring a doula, you are not just paying for them to be at your birth, but to share their training and experience in supporting mothers every step of the way. Doulas dedicate significant time in the weeks and months leading up to birth, ensuring you feel prepared, informed and excited for your birth so you can have the BEST experience possible!
24/7 on-call support means regardless of time of day or night, the weather, a holiday, or personal commitments a doula is available to support you. You'll receive personalized labor support for hours and possibly days. The postpartum period presents its own set of challenges. Rather than relying on internet searches or receiving conflicting advice from friends and family, you can ask your doula, who likely has encountered your circumstances before and can offer guidance. (Just like any other business, a significant portion of fees covers operational expenses.) Many individuals are willing to invest thousands in a wedding or hundreds or thousands on a vacation. I firmly believe that doula support is equally as worthy of the investment. I do understand that financial constraints are very real in today's world, if the cost feels prohibitive, please don't hesitate to reach out. We may be able to work something out! Throughout our time together, during prenatal visits and the postpartum period, I prioritize open communication and collaboration.
